Lazing on a Sunny Afternoon
This pastel painting is one of my development pieces that was painted as I was learning the techniques of pastel pencil art. This was the first painting I created using photographic references rather than tutorials. I was happy enough with this to feel I could do some more of my own artwork and at this point I had also joined an art class to learn different techniques and media. One thing that soon came out of that class was the discovery that I REALLY don’t like painting watercolour. I’ll stick with my pastel and pencil work I think.
