Dawn After the Rain
This painting was a chance to experiment with some different pastel sticks I had been given for Christmas 2023, in combination with a limited range of green pastel pencils. Once again, BBC Countryfile was the source of inspiration and this painting is based on a photograph of a lane in the North Yorkshire moors area. I chose it because of the sense of freedom and exploration that I always get when out walking down lanes like this; that thought of 'where does this lead?'.
