Winter on the Farm
In 2015, I began to think about doing bigger paintings than the usual A4 size I'd been doing on the Fabriano Ingres paper I was using. That meant looking at using pastel sticks to cover a larger surface more quickly. I browsed through the SAA website and watched a couple of tutorials by artist Jeremy Ford, who I’d seen demonstrating at an art and craft show earlier. This painting was the result of that tuition (after a few practices of course) and an early result of using SAA soft pastels and Clairefontaine Pastelmat paper.
